I have been able to share two best methods to auto-hide the taskbar, one is easy to understand the method, while the other is for those who love to feel geeky or loves advanced methods, so what are we waiting for, let’s go!

Method #1: Hide the Taskbar from Settings


This is the regular method to hide Windows 10 taskbar, you do not need to install any tool, just follow the simple steps that I also included with an image for easy understanding.

#1. Right-click on an empty space on the taskbar and select ‘Taskbar settings’.

#2. Windows settings will be opened on Personalization > Taskbar.

#3. You’ll see different options like ‘Lock the taskbar’, ‘Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode’, etc.

#4. Next enable ‘Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode’.

#5. The Taskbar will then slide down, to see it, just hover your mouse pointer below the screen and it will be displayed for a moment.

Method #2: Hide Taskbar using Command Prompt

Command Prompt can be used to also auto hide the windows 10 taskbar, also if you are on an older version of Windows 10, you can simply use this command to force taskbar to hide, then you can play games and watch Youtube videos in full screen.

#1. Type Windows + R

#2. Type in ‘CMD’.

#3. Next type the below command and run it.

#4. Now this command above will auto-hide the taskbar on your Windows PC.

#5. To disable this features, simply copy and paste this command below on CMD and run it.
